Welcome to our fifteenth TULIPS (Thursday Updates & Logs Improving Platform Software)! You can read the previous one if you haven't yet.

These posts will be made whenever we have enough development updates to make a post, usually on Thursdays.

Live now

  • 429 errors should now return valid JSON, improving the ability of tools like Pywikibot and mwcleric to handle the exceptions.
  • We've made some infrastructure config changes to help our overall stability and will continue to tweak it and monitor over the next weeks. Please continue to let us know in Discord any time you get a 50x error!
  • We introduced a config variable for the minimum number of headings required to trigger automatic TOC (table of contents) creation. By default this is 4, and we can increase or decrease it on request. If you want this changed on your wiki, please for now fill out the "other issue" ticket form, although we may create a config-change-request form in the future.
  • The URL https://wiki.gg/go/discord now takes you to our Discord server! We are also going to add some redirects for the various ticket links in the upcoming weeks.

RANGER navboxes

Our new navboxes, called Responsively Arranged Navboxes Guiding Easy Reading or RANGER for short, are live on the support wiki! You can see the documentation page RANGER navboxes for installation instructions. Please note that this is currently more our move from alpha to beta, and not our move from beta to released; they still are not on the DLW and we need to review docs a bit before we're ready to say it's totally ready.

wiki.gg social media

We have updated our Twitter/X handle to @wikigg_official and are planning to be active on there again. We also now have a Bluesky @wiki.gg! If you're on either service, make sure to follow us for the latest news on the platform. If you manage social media for a wiki, feel free to mention us in the bio!

If your wiki has done something cool please let us know in our new Discord channel, #i-did-this and we'll tell everyone else how cool you are!
